In 2000 I founded Stress Dynamics, LLC, a website dedicated to promoting accurate information about stress and how to reduce it through stress-management plans, techniques and relaxation strategies. I have been a Registered Nurse since 1984. My credentials include certifications in Professional Development and Mental Health by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a Bachelors degree in Nursing and a Masters degree in Business Administration. I am also recognized as a Certified Aromatherapist by the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists and the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy following my training with the Joyessence Aromatherapy Centre in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
I have worked extensively through the years with several companies as a stress management consultant. I am a national public speaker on the topics of stress and anger management, relaxation techniques and employee retention. I am proud to say that I have been published in the nursing journal, Advance for Nurses. I have been a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society through Mercy College of Detroit since 1992. I am also a Charter member of the LaGrange College Nursing Honor Society and was the 2004 Key Note speaker at the LaGrange College Nursing Honor Society Induction ceremony.
My seminars are uniquely customized to my clients and target audiences. They are dynamic and uplifting. My clients and audiences leave with realistic ideas of how to immediately reduce stress in their lives.
This blog is an extension of what I started with my website and it is an avenue to further reach a very “stressed-out” world, which is my passion. What began as simply teaching a single mental health patient how to minimize stress led to requests by cancer support groups to teach my expertise and eventually to workshops and seminars. I have always believed in the power of relaxation, just as one needs to breathe and eat, one needs to relax for mental and physical health.
Enjoy your journey through my blog, subscribe and comment often.
